Cayla Morgan Otto

So, the reason I’ve been gone for almost a week is because I have a daughter!

She was born last Thursday, April 21th at 11:05 PM.  She was 6 lbs 12 oz and 19.5 inches long.  There is no question in my mind that she looks like Jenny (although my parents disagree), which is a good thing because I’d be an ugly woman.

We went into the hospital because Jenny had a fever.  After running some tests they decided to do an emergency C-section.  I don’t think I’ve ever prayed so much in a 3 hour period as I did that night.  Everyone came through with flying colors, and we all came home Monday morning.

I’m so happy, excited and sleep deprived.  I think we’ll keep her.

Pictures coming soon.

Edit:  Sorry…she was DUE on the 25th and BORN on the 21st.

Awesome!!! BTW Adam predicted you were having a girl...He also says Anna and I are having a girl too. If he gets that right does that make him a prophet?
April 28, 2005 | Unregistered CommenterGerry
I dont think it makes him a prophet, but it must be good to know that he has a backup career in the circus if he ever needs it! LOL :p

What wonderful news! It must be so exciting and scary at the same time. Great to know you have people praying for you though. A beautiful name for what I'm sure is a beautiful daughter.

for the record, YES, i did predict mo/jo would have a girl. i even emailed mo almost 2 weeks prior to the birth to let him know that... now... if gerry and anna have a girl, too, maybe i will have to join the circus...
April 29, 2005 | Unregistered Commenteradam
actually, I just checked my e-mail log, you told me the DAY BEFORE (April 20th) that we were going to have a girl. That's pretty good bro.

Off to the circus for you.

I just have this image of an Adam Feldman head in a booth...like the "make a wish" booth in "Big" with Tom Hanks. Anyway, just put in a quarter and he will tell you your future...woOoOoOoO

ahem....

sorry.
